Advisor Services

Start with the platform. Add support as your needs change.

Advisor services.

Sovereign gives advisors access to the core infrastructure, investment resources, technology, and practice support needed to operate and grow. Some capabilities are included with the platform, while others are available based on your affiliation model and the services your practice chooses to use.

Asset Management

More ways to manage portfolios.

Build portfolios your way with access to an open-architecture TAMP and alternative investment opportunities for qualified clients.

Align TAMP.

The base Sovereign platform includes access to our in-house TAMP called Align. Use Sovereign models, build your own models, or select strategies through the Orion Model Marketplace.

Sovereign delivers TAMP services to advisors at a very low cost. View our Pricing page for more information.

ALTIX | Alternative Investment Access

For advisors looking to round out client portfolios beyond traditional stocks and bonds, Sovereign offers access to a proprietary alternative investment vehicle designed for the RIA channel.

Availability is limited to qualified investors and is offered by Private Placement Memorandum only. Sovereign-affiliated advisors can reach out to their Sovereign contact for full fund details and suitability requirements.

401(k) Plans

Easy to deploy,
easy to service.

Most advisors avoid 401k plans for good reason: high fiduciary liability, heavy administration, and fees that rarely justify the effort. The Align PEP was built to change that.

Sovereign has partnered with The Newport Group to create an in-house PEP (Pooled Employer Plan) that makes 401k delivery practical for fee-based RIA advisors. Align Retirement Pathways is available to Sovereign-affiliated advisors and non-affiliated advisors alike. It’s fully open-architecture and designed to be straightforward at every stage.

What Your Clients Pay

  • $3,250 / year
  • $60 / participant
  • 15 bps

These are the client-side costs. Your advisory fee is set at your discretion. Sovereign-affiliated advisors receive a 100% payout on all Align PEP advisory fees.

What’s Included

Newport carries the fiduciary load.

3(38) investment fiduciary services. Newport manages the investment lineup.

Newport signs the 5500.

3(16) plan administrator services. Newport, not your client, signs the 5500. The administrative burden lands where it belongs.

A self-directed brokerage option.

Advisors can “pull out” key participant accounts for direct management. This means you can deliver personalized wealth management to the higher-balance participants in a plan and charge your standard advisory fee, building a real pipeline into your broader practice.

Not Familiar with PEPs?

Watch Sovereign’s CEO, Chuck Failla, CFP, moderate a conversation with some of the 401k industry’s leading voices. The discussion covers what PEPs are, why they’re gaining ground with RIA advisors, and how they can build a meaningful wealth management pipeline for your practice.

Go independent without going it alone.

Everything you need to run a fiduciary practice is already in place. You bring the clients. We bring the rest.
